Tay Ninh Sugar Co., Ltd was formerly known as Tay Ninh Sugar Company established in 1980 by Tay Ninh Province People’s Committee. Through the development stages, the company was renamed and changed its business model to adapt to economic development situtaion of the Vietnam and Tay Ninh Province.

According to decision of Tay Ninh People’s Committee, the company was renamed by Tay Ninh general sugar united enterprises on October, 1981. And based on decision of Ministry of Agriculture, in 1989, Tay Ninh Province, particularly Tay Ninh General Sugar United Enterprises was assigned to directly manage two of cane farms of Tan Hung and Thanh Binh at Tan Chau District.

According to decision of Tay Ninh People’s Committee, in 1990, Tay Ninh General Sugar United Enterprises would be directly managed Nuoc Trong Cane Farm which is under Agriculture and Forestry Service. At the same time, Tay Ninh People’s Committee decided to build a Nuoc Trong sugar factory with capacity of 500 ton per day. This factory came into operation in 1992.

Based on Decision 58/QD-UB issued on July 14, 1995, Tay Ninh General Sugar United Enterprises was again renamed by Tay Ninh Sugarcane Company including members such as Nuoc Trong Sugar Enterprise (merger of Nuoc Trong cane farm into Nuoc Trong Sugar Factory), Tan Hung Farm (merger of Thanh Binh Farm into Tan Hung Farm), 22/12 Sugar Enterprise and administrative office.

Through the development stages, the company not only achieves high efficiency in business activities but also well implement state enterprise equitization policy. The company conducted equitization to 22/12 Sugar Enterprise and changed its name to Tra Phi Joint Stock Company on June, 2001.

According to decision of Tay Ninh People’s Committee, on October 2005, Nuoc Trong Sugar Factory was seperated from Tay Ninh Sugarcane Company, started conducting equitzation and changed it’s name to Nuoc Trong Sugar Joint-Stock Company. In this period, Tay Ninh Sugar Company co-orperated with the other partners to establish Nuoc Trong Tapioca Joint Stock Company located in Nuoc Trong Industrial Site under management of Tay Ninh Sugar Company.

Based on decision 43/QD-UB issued on May 09, 2007 of Tay Ninh People’s Committee, Tay Ninh Sugarcane Company was renamed by Tay Ninh Sugar Co., Ltd. as today.
